I Found My Words: Drink Me

Come revel in the depths of my gracious intellect
and tempestuous passions.
Sip the nectar of promise from the corner of my mouth.
Let my words and sighs carve a ravine through your soul
making new pathways and broadened vistas.

I follow the twists and muscled musings of your mind
with rapt delight.
We parry and thrust through poetic ponderings and flirty word swords like skilled fencers,
a verbal corps-à-corps making our brains tingle for more.

Drink from the cup of my raw, naked soul.
Satisfy your thirst from the marrow of my being.
I bare it to you with all its exquisite
treasure and shadowed corners.

NOTE: Writing inspiration may come from anywhere. The above poem was inspired by the beautiful poetry of Mr. Modigliani titled “Let Me Drink”: https://mrmodigliani.wordpress.com/2016/05/17/let-me-drink/
